MY NAME IS

When I was a kid, somehow or other, I usually had a crew. In Elementary school I had a crew. In Junior High and Highschool I had a crew. Also in college. Actually in college and highschool I had a couple crews.
Every crew starts out the same way, 2 kids know 1 or 2 other kids and then later the last member joins up. Nobody ever says "hey, let's form a crew", the crew just happens. It’s like all of a sudden the collection distinct personalities form one distinct collective personality, and that personality in many ways has a life of its own.
I’ve found from personal experience that crews tend to bring out the worst in the typical American teenager. That’s not to say that a bunch of kids can’t hang out together without getting into trouble, but usually when a group of kids hang out together they tend to get into trouble. In this day and age however, the adventures that kids get into with their friends are basic rites of passage.
The Official Supreme Team is about a female crew of superheroes. I wanted a female perspective, and I had the idea that the main throughline should be sisterhood. I developed the characters and their personalities from my own experiences, from people I have known, synthesizing my memories to create a whole team of personalities, with the only condition being that all of the personalities be made distinct and bold.
